Health & Social Care Integration
Postponed – NWLC Health and Social Care Integration presentation 7th March 2017 at DAC Beachcroft Manchester
DAC Beachcroft said ‘Our client NHS England is currently working closely with the Local Government Association, amongst others, on terms of a new draft accountable care organisation contract. One of the aims of that contract is to enable integration between health and social care commissioners and providers. As those discussions are ongoing, and as the proposed draft contract has been challenged by judicial review (on which we are also advising) it would not be appropriate to hold the session at this time.
A new date will be advised as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.’
This session will look at the new ways of working between the NHS and Social Care, looking at the STP proposals, new contracting models, procurement from the point of view of local authorities as providers/duty holders of social care duties.
Alistair Robertson and Mary Mundy will discuss the different options for achieving health and social integration with a focus on powers, contractual and procurement issues. The session will end with an interactive workshop on what works in practice..
