This post is a key part of Liverpool City Council’s City Solicitors Office, leading and supporting a team of Principal Solicitors who cover the full range of local authority legal work. You will also undertake the role of Deputy Monitoring Officer and work alongside, and deputise for, the City Solicitor.

The role will play a key part in the ongoing transformation of legal support to ensure its alignment with client departments and their aims and objectives. The holder will need to provide robust clear legal advice and have a detailed knowledge and experience of local authority law.
