Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and able lawyer to join the in-house legal team at Warrington Borough Council. Based within Legal Services’ Safeguarding team you will primarily work in the area of childcare.

You will be a key member of the team.  From time to time you will also be expected to advise councillors and officers in the areas of adult social care, mental health and education.  The post involves significant levels of advocacy in the Single Family Court.

You will need excellent communication skills, team skills and the ability to interpret legislation in a common sense and practical manner, having due regard to the Council’s legal responsibilities.  We offer a supportive environment within a friendly and progressive team with Lexcel accreditation.
