Grade 9 £35,934 – £39,782

Grade 10 £40,760 – £43,662

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and able lawyer to join the in-house legal team at Warrington Borough Council. Based within Legal Services’ Safeguarding team you will primarily work in the areas of Adult Social Care and Education law.

 You will be a key member of the team. From time to time you will also be expected to advise councillors and officers in the areas of children’s social care. The post involves significant levels of advocacy in the Court of Protection and other Tribunals.

 You will need excellent communication skills, team skills and the ability to interpret legislation in a common sense and practical manner, having due regard to the Council’s legal responsibilities.  We offer a supportive environment within a friendly and progressive team with Lexcel accreditation.

This is a progression grade therefore appointment will normally be on the bottom of Grade 9 but this will be dependant on experience.
