Planning & Highways lawyers deliver a range of legal services to the Council, its Officers and Committees including legal advice, the negotiation & completion of legal agreements, the management of Public Inquiries and litigation to fulfill the Council`s statutory functions as Local Planning Authority and Highway Authority.

This position offers a varied and challenging planning and highways caseload. You will be joining a friendly team, located in a beautiful part of the country, within an Authority committed to ongoing improvement in all aspects of its organisation and service delivery.

You will be an experienced planning & highways lawyer, ideally with a background in local government: experience of infrastructure projects will be an advantage. You will be a team player who takes pride in delivering high quality services and is able to work under pressure.
