The role

Safeguarding Team

Operating in the field of education law with some adult social care work, from time to time you will also be expected to advise councillors and officers in the area of children’s social care. The post involves significant levels of advocacy in the Special Educational Needs Tribunal and other tribunals.

Candidates with appropriate experience will be appointed at the higher pay scale.

All candidates will need excellent communication skills, team skills and the ability to interpret legislation in a common sense and practical manner, having due regard to the Council’s legal responsibilities.  We offer a supportive environment within progressive and friendly teams. We are committed to flexible working including the ability to work from home for part of the week where appropriate.

The post is 37 hours per week
