THE FUTURE OF YOUR SOLICITORS FRAMEWORK

All Heads of Service have now received a note which contains the Management Board’s recommendations for the proposed future plans and which seeks views and comments.The Board will be considering these responses at their meeting on 10th June so a decision on the way forward is very close …..and then the work starts!The outcome and progress will be reported to all through future Bulletins over the coming months.

OUR LATEST CONSORTIUM OFFER

Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act MHA & MCA Law have run a subscription service for the last 13 years primarily for Local Authorities and Trusts. Dave Sheppard has recently made an offer to the North West Legal Consortium that for those local authorities (not just legal departments), who have either never subscribed or have not been recent subscribers, they can subscribe for a 50% discount (i.e. now only £600 plus VAT) for access from now until 30th April 2016. REMINDERS:

Member organisations will shortly be receiving their invoices for the NWLC Annual Subscription. These will come from Sefton who assist the Consortium with this process as lead organisation.

Free Consortium healthchecks are available to member authorities to spread the word about the benefits of membership of the Consortium, explain how the website can be used and basically do a bit of a healthcheck as to what each authority uses the Consortium for etc and how best we can assist.

ANNUAL FREE TRAINING PROGRAMME – WHATS ON THIS MONTH?

This month Merseytravel have a vacancy for a Commercial Lawyer with a closing date of 17th June and Bury Council are looking for a Senior Solicitor, Community Care with a closing date of 19th June. West Lancashire District Council require an Electoral Services and Administration manager (closing date 26th June) and Preston City Council urgently require a Land Charges Assistant.
