The forum will benefit litigation lawyers and council officers who deal with the collection and enforcement of unpaid domestic and non-domestic tax.

The following speakers have kindly agreed to give a presentation at the forum:

Exchange Chambers.  Experienced barristers Peter Dixon, John Waiting and Simon Whitfield will provide an analysis of the different types of insolvency and how they interact with the business rates/council tax regime with an examination of the pitfalls associated with using insolvency to enforce liability orders.  An update will be given on recent decisions of interest in Business Rates and Council Tax matters.

Mazars LLP.   Mazars Insolvency Practitioners Conrad Pearson, Matthew Carter and Jason Norwood will provide an overview of personal and corporate insolvency regimes, explaining the functions of an Insolvency Practitioner.  The presentation will include case studies and information on how to engage as a creditor.
