Partner firms Capsticks and Browne Jacobson are pleased to invite NWLC members to an in‑person Junior Lawyer Training event in Manchester bringing together early‑career lawyers for an engaging and collaborative development session. There will be lunch at 1pm with the training starting at 2pm until 4.30pm.

This event is aimed at junior lawyers and is free for all NWLC members to attend.

This session will be split into two workshops led by experts Justin Quinton and Barrister and Principle Associate, Holly Quirk from Browne Jacobson.

Preparing for success at final hearing: This session will cover practical tips for preparing a case for final hearing, including preparing a good brief to Counsel, drafting effective witness statements, and preparing witnesses to give evidence at tribunal. Preparation is key to effective advocacy, and the aim of the session is to help you to give your client the best chance of success.

Informative advocacy: We will cover the following key
areas:

Court structure;
Court etiquette;
How to address those in court;
Civil applications;
Techniques.

This session is designed to provide practical guidance and insights, helping you navigate the courtroom with confidence and clarity.
