This session will focus on how local authorities can manage their third-party contracts particularly where suppliers have gone into difficulty and face insolvency. We will cover

• the different insolvency procedures and the effect of these (e.g. liquidation, administration, CVA, and winding up)
• provisions in contracts dealing with termination

managing the termination and having sufficient exit management arrangements in place to deal with taking the service back in house or transferring to another provider
