We are looking for a highly motivated and organised Administrative Assistant to support the effective running and performance of the Legal Services Division.

Your responsibilities will include general office duties such as file maintenance and accurate record keeping, receiving and responding to queries, minute taking, processing invoices, assisting with bundle preparation, and maintaining and producing statistical data.

You will encounter sensitive and confidential material involving children and adults and it is therefore important that you are familiar with basic data protection principles. You will be required to attend mandatory training courses on handling, storage, and distribution of personal data.

You will be supervised by a Principal Legal Advisor who will be available to support and mentor you. Your personal and professional development will be encouraged by regular supervisions, support, and training. The team is extremely supportive and friendly to assist you when necessary.

About You

You must be able to work methodically, accurately and to strict deadlines with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You must be efficient with IT systems in particular Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.  You will also be expected to operate a case management system (IKEN) for which you will receive training.

Good planning and organisational skills are essential, and you should be able to work under pressure to meet competing deadlines, allowing flexibility and resilience.

Previous administrative experience would be an advantage, but not essential, and we are also open to candidates with a variety of experience where they have suitable transferable skills.
