We are looking for either a qualified lawyer (solicitor, barrister or Cilex) or an individual with significant relevant experience and aspiration to qualify, who has sound knowledge in Childcare law, can work well under pressure and has excellent organisational skills. An ability and willingness to transfer your legal skills, if required, to areas of the team’s work that are not currently within your expertise is essential.
Public sector experience is desirable, however, relevant experience gained from the private sector will also be considered. Day to day responsibilities include supporting the team’s lawyers in managing a full caseload and providing advice and support to the local authority, in relation to all areas of childcare law.
The successful candidate will be able to prioritise their own workload and work to tight court deadlines; and will have good communication and presentation skills and work well as part of a team.
