We are looking for a high calibre ambitious childcare lawyer to join our legal team in a senior role This post offers the opportunity for a lawyer either looking for the opportunity to gain experience as a manager, whilst still carrying a complex case and legal advice workload, or equally one already in this position looking to consolidate their experience at a senior legal level in a respected public sector organisation.

You will lead on all children related legal matters and manage a team of childcare lawyers consisting of solicitors, chartered legal executives/trainee legal executives and support staff. You will also be a member of the Legal Services Management Team. You will be a highly accomplished and robust litigator and advocate in court, inquiry and tribunal venues, with a positive attitude and a practical approach to legal work.

You will also be capable of providing quality advice and assistance at Director and other senior officer levels, including strategy and performance, on the children’s agenda.

This job is based in Ashton-under-Lyne, which is 10 minutes by train from central Manchester.
