The role

Warrington Borough Council is looking for a number of lawyers to join our Lexcel accredited service:

Adult Safeguarding Lawyer/Education Lawyer (Salary up to £44,863) x 2

37 hours per week

Operating in the field of adult social care and/or education law from time to time you will also be expected to advise councillors and officers in the area of children’s social care. The posts involve significant levels of advocacy in the Court of Protection, the Special Educational Needs Tribunal and other tribunals. All candidates will need excellent communication skills, team skills and the ability to interpret legislation in a common sense and practical manner, having due regard to the Council’s legal responsibilities.  We offer a supportive environment within a progressive and friendly team in a brand new state of the art building in the heart of Warrington.  We are committed to flexible working and can offer a hybrid model of working with part of the week spent working from home where appropriate.
