The Role:
As a Lawyer in Liverpool City Council you will provide legal advice and representation in areas of law of relevance to the Council including information governance and public law challenges to decisions
Within the role as a lawyer will have personal responsibility for a varied caseload, and act as a subject expert in planning, highways & licensing law, with appropriate support and supervision from a Senior Lawyer or Head of Law
As a lawyer you will lead and develop a team of Legal Officers and Legal Assistants where required
You will contribute to the supervision and development of Trainee Lawyers in the team
The role of Lawyer reports to the Senior Lawyer for the discipline
You will work collaboratively within your team and the service to meet deadlines and achieve target
