About this opportunity
Working as part of a wider team, you will be responsible for your own caseload with support from a range of lawyers and legal officers. You will provide advice to the Council’s officers, members and Committees. You will oversee the day-to-day management and supervision of other team members and assist the wider management team in ensuring the provision of high quality, cost-effective and innovative legal services and corporate governance.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced solicitor, barrister or legal executive with commercial awareness and experience of working in either local authorities or a politically sensitive environment. It is a fantastic time to join us as we expand and develop our Services working in new ways to support the newly formed Cumberland Council.
