Making A Difference as A Legal Assistant Fixed Term for 23 months
Following a Service Review, St Helens is recruiting to several full time, permanent positions within the Legal team. This is an exciting time to join the Council as it pursues its journey of transformation and regeneration of its town centres.
We are a busy, friendly and well supported legal team situated in the Merseyside area with good transport links to surrounding areas. We have embraced new ways of working and the role will predominantly feature hybrid working, offering a supportive environment, and a high level of flexibility, allowing staff to take control of their work/life balance.
This is fixed term role of 23 months. We are looking for someone who to play a key role in supporting and assisting the solicitors across the full range of children’s social care matter. You will have responsibility for case progression, bundle preparation, preparing legal documents and providing support to our client departments as required. You will be required to attend court with Counsel when required and take accurate notes of evidence/Judgments.
We are looking for flexible and adaptable individuals, ideally with some legal knowledge and experience. You will be highly motivated, with good communication and organisational skills. You will have the ability to manage your own case load and work to strict deadlines.
