Grade 4 £20,444 – £22,129 per annum
Grade 5 £22,571- £24,920 per annum
Grade 6 £25,927 -£29,174 per annum
Grade 7 £30,095 – £33,486 per annum

The Legal Officer will be capable of working to tight deadlines eventually with minimal supervision and able to act on their own initiative or with minimal supervision depending on experience. The Legal Officer will have conduct of an increasing, extensive and varied caseload of matters which, in addition to general property transactions, may also include highways & footpath matters; CPO work; Academy conversions and commercial property work in relation to major commercial and residential property transactions and regeneration schemes within the Borough.
The ideal candidates must be motivated and enthusiastic and be pro-active team players who are able to work as part of a busy team; can react positively to changing priorities and are willing to embrace new technology and ways of working as well as possessing good communication and interpersonal skills and maintain good relations with clients.

We are looking for candidates who are seeking to qualify as a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives or as a Solicitor/barrister. Local authority experience is preferable however Rochdale Council will consider private practice and public sector candidates ideally with property law experience.
