Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) oversees public transport in Greater Manchester, delivering and improving transport services, facilities and information to make travel easier for everyone. This is a busy and exciting time for us: under the devolution agreement, and with Greater Manchester at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse, transport will play a vital role in supporting growth and prosperity in the UK’s largest regional economy outside London. As part of a supportive and valued legal team, you will be exposed to a diverse and interesting workload together with other general areas of law depending on experience. You will receive supervision and support from a highly experienced in-house team and external legal support where required with a view to your supporting a busy real estate workload.
In this role you will also support the development and infrastructure projects workload dealing with title investigations and reports, option agreements, development clawback and general advice on property strategy.
You will have proven experience to deal with land acquisition and disposal, commercial tenancies and associated landlord & tenant notices. You will also have the requisite qualification as a solicitor and experience to enable you to support the estates portfolio and provide support on a range of infrastructure projects. You will be provided with support from experienced legal colleagues to develop your skills as an in-house lawyer and an effective property advisor.
