Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) oversees public transport in Greater Manchester, delivering and improving transport services, facilities and information to make travel easier for everyone. This is a busy and exciting time for us: under the devolution agreement, and with Greater Manchester at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse, transport will play a vital role in supporting growth and prosperity in the UK’s largest regional economy outside London.

TfGM delivers high profile, large-scale transport projects, and we now have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or 1-2 year PQE commercial solicitor to provide support with a variety of large projects such as Smart travel, Air Quality, Transforming Cities, Bus Reform and Rail Partnership, as well as supporting a large procurement workstream.

As part of a supportive and valued legal team, you will be exposed to a diverse and interesting commercial workload.  You will receive training and support from a highly experienced team, which will enable you to enhance your skills and knowledge.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to specialise in the commercial field in an in-house role and become an accomplished commercial law practitioner.

You will have commercial acumen and proven experience of undertaking commercial matters either post-qualification or during a recognised training seat.  You will also have the ability to engage with commercial and public sector partners to secure efficient delivery of our ambitious projects and initiatives.

The salary range for this role is £27,582 to £32,269 per annum.  Salary on appointment will be dependent upon your skills and experience.
