This is an opportunity to work in an exciting and forward thinking local authority as part of a dynamic and multi-disciplinary legal department. Join us as our Practice Manager and help us mould our expanding team at Liverpool City Council!

Our roles operate on a hybrid approach to allow flexibility between home working and office working at the Cunard Building.

What will I be doing?

Our Practice manager will ultimately be responsible for supporting the Head and Deputy Head of Legal Practice & Business to ensure continuous improvement in aspects of the service and across the wider City Law & Governance Directorate
You will ensure the Legal team has the tools and environment to be effective in represented and effective in their service delivery
You will manage support staff performance of tasks allocated within set timescales
You will plan and prioritise allocated work efficiently and make sure effective diary management ensures deadlines are complied with in a timely manner, working collaboratively across the team
You will prepare reports, documents, minutes and correspondence, as well as taking notes at meetings/hearings, ensuring that all are shared and saved appropriately
Key to the role of Practice Manager is the co-ordination of directorate & service wide support e.g. recruitment, finance, admin
You will work with our Learning & Organisational Development and recruitment teams, to support our work experience programme and internship placements including the marketing of the Service across Universities and Schools.
