Sefton Corporate Legal Services have 5 full time (36 hours per week) Senior Legal Assistant posts available. These posts are fixed term contracts, which are for two years from the appointment date, although this will be kept under review with the possibility of further extensions.
These posts are available within the Children and Social Care Team. The Team provide legal services in relation to child protection, adoption, education, and all matters relating to children’s social care, including deprivations of liberty and judicial review. The role involves close working alongside Lawyers / Solicitors supporting their case load of public law matters and conduct of a caseload of more routine legal cases in the Family Court with minimal supervision. Also, regular attendance at court with counsel.
This is a major investment in Legal Services in order to provide an excellent service delivering positive outcomes for children and their families in the Borough of Sefton.
